Toby is relentlessly, uncomplicatedly friendly. He greets the postman like an old friend and considers every dog in the park a personal invitation.

He is easy to walk, easy to feed and easy to live with. His only real flaw is a complete inability to be discreet about how happy he is to see you.

He fits almost any household, which is rarer than it sounds. Families, couples, first-time owners: Toby adapts.

A day with Toby

7:00 am - walk, greeting everyone en route 11:00 am - a nap in the doorway, where the action is 4:30 pm - park time with other dogs 8:00 pm - lap, or as close as he can get

Food and feeding

Not fussy at all. Twice-daily meals, steady weight.

Care and grooming

Medium coat, brush twice weekly. About an hour of walking daily.
